Most monkeys live in trees but there are also Baboons which live on ground and can be dangerous so should not be approached under any circumstances. Monkeys are primates and have tails. Today there are believed to be roughly 260 known species of Monkeys and we should try keep it this way not to make this primate extinct like many other precious species!

A monkey in the wild is just as it states 'Its a wild animal' and should be treated as such! Many times children or even adults at camps or safaris while having lunch or taking a rest will approach a very cute, adorable small monkey which is extremely dangerous as they tend to bite and can cause serious health issues! The bite of a monkey could even be fatal if not treated properly.
There are occasions that a monkey could also become a mans best friend when in human company from infant, which could be amazing!

What is a monkey? As mentioned before a Monkey as a Pet can be a mans best friend but they tend to also get up to crazy mischief and we need to bare in mind that they certainly are a full time job!
Some common monkeys the can be wild-caught(By a professional) or bred can be the Rhesus Macaque, the Grivet or the Crab eating Macaque.
