The last thing you want is an overexcited dog splashing around in a tub full of water, things will only get messy. Before you shampoo your pet run a brush through the coat to get rid of unwanted hair and untangle all the knots. Use a good shampoo made for the use on dogs. Don’t forget to clean the inside of their ears, paws and of course the tail. End of the shampoo with a conditioner , this will keep their coats silky soft and shiny. If you know how to groom my pet well and are comfortable with clippers, remember to shave the coat against the direction of growth. Use caution around tricky areas such as the ears and around the eyes. It is a good idea to keep your pets coat short in summer and longer in winter. If your pets nails are long it is important to clip them, ignoring this can cause severe discomfort for your dog. You get special nail clippers made for the sole purpose of clipping dogs nails.
