How to groom a Shih Tzu
Some of us might own a lovely Shih Tzu and have all seen the countless show dog pictures of this lovely breed but may be wondering how to groom a Shih Tzu to get your dog looking like that and keeping them that way. If you are not really fussed then a simple wash and a brush will do the trick but those of us who know` how to groom a Shih Tzu to that picture perfect style understand and know that a bit more time needs to be invested in our little doggies.

Before you want to know how to groom a Shih Tzu correctly, make sure you have the right tools for the job. These would be a tub, shampoo and conditioner, nail clippers, comb or brush, hair clippers, towel and a hair dryer. After you have shampooed your little ball of joy use a good conditioner to keep the hair soft and easy to work out any knots etc. Clean in the ears to avoid infection in the future and don’t skip hard to reach places such as the armpits. Anybody who knows how to groom a Shih Tzu will tell you that if you constantly want a pretty looking Shih Tzu, grooming will need to take place every 1 – 2 weeks.
