Every now and then we feel like watching a good old documentary, perhaps on a famous actor or sportsman and let’s not forget how so many of us are caught up in reality TV. We are so caught up in other people and their lives that we often forget about the environment, our different species of animals and how rapidly our endangered species list is growing. The reality of this is overwhelming and what many of us don’t realize while getting caught up in less important realities is that there are a number of species that get added to the endangered species list daily. Yes, you did read that correctly, DAILY!

It is said that scientists can count the starts in the universe more accurately than the amount of species on earth. This proves how complicated the ecosystems are that our animals belong to. Unfortunately we as humans don’t quite understand all these ecosystems or we don’t have the knowledge needed to stop adding to our endangered species list quite as much as we need to. On the other hand we are probably the biggest factor, directly involved, due to our human physical actions and not the natural forming or dying of things that contributes the greatest to our endangered species.

In a world that is becoming so commercialized and wealth orientated it is sad to think that we let this blind us, we turn our cheeks and keep producing or drilling, not worrying about what our actions could bring for the next endangered species. If we all started watching documentaries or reading about the things that mattered we could possibly try preserving what we have left and building up our natural world again. Unfortunately what is lost is gone and can never be with us again, but if we don’t make changes soon and start living with and for other animals on earth we will soon ourselves be on the endangered species list.
